About This Thing
I started this particular site as a method of tracking the movies I had seen, thanks to a horrible memory. My first entry was 1/1/2004, and for the first year I made short quips about the movies. Some were kind of funny, some were really dumb, and most were just not funny at all. Still, I'm proud that I stuck with it, and I have learned that attempts to hone quipping by practice may not actually do much for you. Be so warned.
A year of quipping gone by, I was encouraged to write longer pieces for the movies I saw, so I am doing so. I have no set word count, and no set agenda other than to reflect on what I've seen. If you are one of the three or so people reading this, then I thank you for your time and encourage you to leave a comment or four.
Who am I? I'm a graphic designer living in Seattle with my significant other (bless her beautiful self). I'm interested in Art, Movies, culture, music, technology, literature, design, and the other typical things that bloggers like me are interested in.
I'm also a writer, and with my parter Kent (aka KZA) have placed in the top 100 during the 2004 Project Greenlight.

A note: The name of this blog, No Matter. Try Again. Fail Again. Fail Better. Is a quote from Samual Beckett that I came across through a portrait of the writer by British artist (and personal hero of mine) Tom Phillips. You can see the work at his website.
And one more final note: Those who know me, know that I am not the Martin McClellan that one finds through Google who is the deep sea diver and/or member of the America First party. Please write me if one needs clarification, but it seems that that Martin McClellan is supremely more Googleable than I. However, this Martin McClellan is me.
